New Delhi: In a bid to further facilitate the payment of the loan amount for its borrowers, the Punjab National Bank (PNB) now allows them to pay their EMIs using GPay, PhonePe and Paytm.
PNB tweeted, “No more running around submitting a check for your loan repayment. Pay your EMI through UPI with GPay, PhonePe and Paytm.” (Also read: Launch tomorrow of the new Made in India Micromax smartphone)

PNB says loan repayment is now possible over the phone
– A recovery and payment solution where you can validate your loan account name and amount before paying
– Use BHIM and other BBPS supported apps like Google Pay, Paytm, PhonePe, etc. to repay your loan payment
– Partial payment of the amount due is also allowed
– Standing instructions for redemption are available for your convenience
In January, PNB reported a doubling of standalone net profit to Rs 1,126.78 crore for the third quarter ended December. The state-owned bank had made a net profit of Rs 506.03 crore in the prior year period.
